Refund Policy
Clear expectations for custom orders.

Because Make and Treasure products are personalized using customer photos, refund requests are handled a little differently from standard retail items. This page explains when cancellations, replacements, credits, or refunds may be available.
Personalized products
Our coloring books are made to order using your uploaded photos, names, and custom instructions. Because each order is created specifically for you, personalized products are generally not eligible for returns or refunds simply because you changed your mind after production has started.
Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, contact us as soon as possible at hello@makeandtreasure.com.
We may be able to cancel and refund an order if work has not yet started. Once image preparation, artwork creation, printing, or fulfillment has begun, full cancellation may no longer be possible.
Digital orders
Digital products are generally non-refundable once the completed files have been delivered. If there is a problem with the delivered files, such as a formatting issue or a production mistake on our side, we will work with you to correct it.
Printed orders
Printed personalized books are generally non-returnable unless the order arrives damaged, defective, or materially different from what was approved or ordered.
If there is an issue with the printed product, contact us within 7 days of delivery and include your order details plus clear photos of the problem so we can review it.
Damage or mistakes
If an order arrives damaged, defective, or includes an error caused by us, we may offer one of the following remedies:
- A corrected replacement product
- A partial refund
- A full refund, where appropriate
We review these situations case by case and may ask for photographs, delivery details, and any approval history related to the order.
Non-refundable situations
Refunds or replacements may not be offered in situations such as:
- You changed your mind after custom work began.
- You supplied incorrect photos, spelling, names, or instructions.
- You approved artwork and later decided you wanted a different style.
- Minor color or print variation that does not amount to damage or defect.
- Delays caused by incomplete information or delayed customer responses.
How to request help
To request a refund review, replacement, or order correction, email hello@makeandtreasure.com with:
- Your full name and order details
- A short explanation of the issue
- Photos of the problem, if relevant
- Any timing details, especially for gifts or urgent situations
Chargebacks
If you have a problem with your order, please contact us first so we have a chance to resolve it. Filing a chargeback without contacting us may delay resolution and may require us to submit order records, communications, proofs, and production details to the payment provider.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
